Department of Disaster Preparedness, Mitigation and Management (DPMM), Asian Institute of Technology has invited Dr. Dyah Rahmawati Hizbaron to provide a guest lecture on 15th March, 2023. The event was given as a follow up collaboration between Faculty of Geography UGM and DPPM, AIT which has lasted from 2019. The idea of the guest lecture is to share the idea of Implementation of SDGs, DRR and CCIA Praxis in Natural Resource Management. The event was attended by Associate Professor Mokbul Morshed Ahmad, PhD, and students from the Master Program.
During her conference at Bangkok on Sustainable Transformation, Dr. Dyah Rahmawati Hizbaron honoured with the invitation from AIT. AIT has been long partner cooperation of Faculty Geography, UGM. The collaboration was funded by Prosper.Net and SEARCA, to conduct joint curricula development on Disaster Risk Management courses and to conduct exchange programs for student to joint courses at both universities. The idea of the guest lecture is to strengthen the ideas on Disaster Risk Reduction experienced by Faculty of Geography, UGM and also from Thailand. The student joints the courses come from diverse universities across Asia, such as Indonesia, Philippines, China, Thailand, and Nepal.
